How many hands does it need to determine the time? Three? Two? No! It turns out that only one is needed. But this hand should be very special. For example, like hand in the watch called One Line, created by designer under nickname Sam. The single line bends depending on the course of time. Its thick end lays on the hour position, the thin end on the minute position. It is planned that these watches will have three color options: pink, silver and white. Also it will be provided by illumination. Unfortunately the watch One Line is just a concept. Hope that in the near future it will become a reality. Painfully good idea!
Around the world with Louis Vuitton
These stylish photos are part of editorial project between Louis Vuitton, In fashion magazine and Monica Barreneches Atelier. Inspired in Vuitton’s 2.011 city guides, who are illustrated by the Cuban artist Ruben Toledo, we took six of the cities and we created new vintage traveling posters as a fashion spread for the magazine. For this project Mónica Barreneche atelier invited the Colombian illustrator Carolina Amaya who was responsible for the graphic intervention of the photographs.
Paper Moonjelly Lamps
you could easily find a lot of different lamps including pedant lamps but this one is more than ordinary pedant lamp. The Moonjelly by Limpalux is sculptural light object with organic structures. It consists of paper slats forming a softly shining corpus. The lamellar body enwraps the light source and allows the light to flow down. Depending on the angle of the penetrating daylight and the air movements in the room the form and colouring of the lamp will change and turn it into an animated, gently re-swinging sculpture.
Stunning Wildlife Paintings
Vancouver based artist Denis Mayer Jr. has earned international acclaim for his unique style of wildlife painting that offers not only remarkably realistic representations but also images infused with energy, vitality and warmth. Having achieved success as a master illustrator, Denis looked for and found his greatest challenge and passion – wildlife painting. Inspired by the work of Belgian naturalist and artist Carl Brenders, Denis now works exclusively as a wildlife artist, using mixed media and limited colours that reflect what he sees as the natural palette.
